Mr Goodwillie was found to have raped a woman back in 2011; however the criminal charges against him were dismissed. The victim Denise Clair has now requested to re-open her case.

The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service said “we understand the decision not to prosecute continues to upset Ms Clair” Nevertheless they announced they will consider the points which have been raised by the victim to re-open the case.

Glasgow United has continued to support Mr Goodwillie although they have been warned that they may lose their current home ground if they continue to sign him and support him after the case.

Back in 2017, Mr Goodwillie and his former Dundee United team mate were order to pay £100,000 damages after the Judge ruled that they had raped Ms Clair back in 2011.
