A man has been arrested and charged over the alleged murder of a woman found dead by a roadside in Perthshire. He will appear at Perth Sheriff court on Friday the 25th of May 2018. Ms Johnstone was discovered dead in a wooded areas near Auchterarder on 10 May 2018.

The Police have now confirmed that this is a murder enquiry. The victim was travelling from Ayr to Perthshire to visit her family. Det Supt Mr Smith, of Police Scotland, said: “I can now confirm that we have charged a 24-year-old man in connection with the alleged murder of Annalise Johnstone, whose body was found in a wooded area at the roadside of B8062 between Auchterarder and Dunning on Thursday 10 May .”
