Trainspottng actor, Mr Welsh, has been shot outside his Edinburgh home while his family were inside this Wednesday. Police Scotland have stated they believed this was a targeted attack but have stated: “Any member of the community could have been walking by and been targeted by this individual. It’s a real threat that someone is running about with a gun on the streets of Edinburgh.” They did however confirm it was unusual for there to be a shooting in Edinburgh. 
Many residents had reported a Firearms incident to the Police and therefore armed officers were sent to the scene immediately and residents were instructed to stay indoors. Enquires are now ongoing.
