Mr Grub pled guilty to driving carelessly that caused the death of a woman in Springburn, Glasgow. Mr Grub was sentenced by Sheriff Johnston at Glasgow Sheriff Court to carry out 195 hours of unpaid work and was disqualified from driving for one year. The woman who was killed was wearing all black and stepped out quickly before Mr Grubs van.
Mr Grub has now also been on a driving course through his employer. The Sheriff told Mr Grub: “The carelessness shown by you was at a low level. However, this type of driving can cause catastrophic results and small errors can lead to devastating consequences.” The Court also heard that Mr Grub has now met the victim family.
