Four men have been jailed after a Trial at the High Court in Edinburgh, two for a ten year period and two for an eight year period for the attempted murder of 26 year old Mr Reynolds in Musselburgh. A 16 year old teenager was also sentenced to 7 years imprisonment and a sixth accused was found guilty of assault to injury, and not attempted murder, and as a result received a 4 year sentence.
The victim suffered major injuries including a brain bleed after being attacked by weapons. Judge Liddle told all co-accused: “The only difference between murder and attempted murder is that death did not result. What you have done is an outrage.” All men will also be supervised after their release from prison.
