A man has been arrested and charged after a 16-year-old boy was assaulted and stabbed in Johnstone, Renfrewshire.
The incident happened at a bus stop across from Thorn Court at around 12.20pm on Wednesday 13th September.
The boy was taken to hospital where his condition has been described as stable by medical professionals.
The police are treating the incident as an attempted murder, informing the public on Friday 15th that an 18-year-old man had been arrested and charged in relation to the attack. He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court.
Police have appealed for information regarding another teenage male suspect, described as slim with short brown hair, and wearing a dark tracksuit with a hat or hood up at the time.
Detective Inspector Nicky Beatie stated: “I am appealing to anyone who was in and around the area at the time of the incident and thinks they may have information which could assist our enquiries to get in touch.
“If you have any recording equipment, such as doorbell or dashcams, please check the footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
