James McArdle, 64 admitted to sexually assaulting a 74-year old woman who was suffering from Alzheimer disease.

The victim had a Ring doorbell camera which was installed by her family members in order for them to be able to check up on her. Mr McArdle was permitted to enter the victim’s home in order to clean her windows.

The footage presented to the Crown illustrated Mr McArdle was repeatedly approaching the victim and assaulting her.

Mr McArdle was sentenced to four years and six month’s imprisonment at the High Court and has been added to the sex offenders register indefinitely.
