Mr Stephen Mack and his nephew, Mr Jackson Mack, have been jailed for 11 and 10 years respectfully for culpable homicide. Originally both men were tried for murder. Both men have been convicted of attacking Mr Anderson striking him with a machete. Lady Rae had stated when sentencing both men that it was not clear what the motive for the attack was. However, hours after the attack Mr Stephen Mack had pretended to the victim’s wife he would help her look for her husband. Lady Rae described this as “despicable.”
