Mr Joseph Carson, aged 65, is a convicted paedophile. He was previously convicted for sex offences against a young girl.
Mr Carson, following a further conviction for throwing urine over his mother, was banned by court order from contacting his mother. This followed the accused sending her letters written using a poison pen. He was also forbidden from contacting his mum’s wider family following continuous abusive messages.
Despite the court order, the accused has frequently ignored the ban and last week was convicted of 8 charges regarding this behaviour.
However, the accused was spared jail and rather was handed a Community payback order despite his lengthy record of previous convictions.
