The death of Mr McLeod is being looked in to further after his body was found 23 years ago. The family have always campaigned for the death to be treated as murder. Police are now seeking fresh information. The body was discovered in 1997 in Caithness. The year after the discovery a Fatal accident enquiry delivered an open verdict and there were criticisms made of the Police investigation. The Lord Advocate previously has instructed the prosecutor to review police handling of the investigation and this remains pending.
