Mr Ferguson has pled guilty to attacking a stranger outside Glasgow’s main railway station in July 2019. The stranger was attacked by Mr Ferguson with a glass bottle and as a result was scarred on his face. Mr Ferguson pled guilty to a charge of assault to the man’s severe injury and permanent disfigurement. Sheriff McCormick who will sentence Mr Ferguson next month after reports have been prepared has stated: “This was an attack on a person you didn’t know but was in your company. This was with a bottle to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement. A substantial custodial sentence will be inevitable.”
