Mr Allan has been sentenced to a minimum terms of 18 years imprisonment for the murder of an acquaintance of his in Shettleston in Glasgow. A trial took place at the High Court in Glasgow and Mr Allan was found guilty of the 28 year old victim’s murder. The Crown led that it was likely Mr Allan attacked the victim with something in the shape of a baseball bat while he was sleeping. The victim sustained numerous head injuries.Lord Matthews stated when sentencing Mr Allan:“This was a brutal attack …It must have been obvious significant injuries would have been caused as a result of what you had done.”
