William Duncan’s body was discovered in his home in Glasgow after the accused Mark McConville murdered him.

Mr McConville tied William Duncan around his arms and wrists before stuffing his mouth with a sock and suffocating him with a pillow.

DNA evidence was found on Mr Duncan’s top which the Court heard that it could have been caused by him picking or dragging the victim along with DNA found on the pillow used.

Although, it was not known why he committed the murder but maintained his innocence to the offence.

Mr McConville was sentenced at Glasgow High Court for a minimum of 18 years.
