A drunk Edinburgh woman who drove a mobility scooter down the wrong side of a dual carriage way has received a fine of £300 and has also been banned from driving for 16 months. She also received a CPO and a restriction of liberty order. Ms Bey had a bottle on alcohol on her lap as she dangerously drove on to ongoing traffic.
When police eventually stopped her she assaulted an officer and had to be restrained with a spit hood. She pled guilty to the changes although he defence solicitor admitted that his client’s memory of the incident was poor but she accepted the evidence and her “disgraceful behaviour”.
