Ms Alexis Cook attacked her boyfriend James McGrogan with a bottle of bourbon at his North Lanarkshire flat in March of this year. Prosecutors accepted Ms Cook’s guilty plea to a reduced charge of culpable homicide after she was expected to stand Trial for Mr McGrogans murder. Ms Cook will be sentenced next month as the Sheriff called for background reports. She was remanded in custody until then.
Ms Cook was insistent that when she life the victims home he was alive. Prosecutor Mr Taylor stated: “James returned to his flat and was noted to be in a happy and emotional state following this reconciliation (with his son).” It was narrated that he was attacked by Ms Cook after an argument. Ms Cooke maintains that her intention was no to kill Mr McGrogan.
