Police Scotland are appealing for information in relation to an alleged armed robbery that took place on a Greenock shop in Belville Street last Saturday. One man in his early twenties had entered the shop masked and threatened the workers before leaving with a small sum of money.
There is alleged to have been a gun on the man’s person. Officers are carrying out enquiries. Detective Young said: “This shop is popular and well used by local people. I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact us as they may have information which could assist our inquiries.”
