An investigation is due to be carried out after a man died while in custody at St Leonard’s police station in Edinburgh on the 11th of December 2018. The 32 year old was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he was later pronounced dead.
A police spokeswoman has said the man was found unwell in his cell and the ambulance service was then contacted around 03:30. The police have stated:“Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this time.”
