A 35-year-old man has been sentenced to six years and eight months in prison for armed robbery and assault in Dundee.

Alistair Montague was jailed following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow on 3 December 2024.

He pleaded guilty to three charges related to offences committed over two days in January 2024, where he used a firearm and a knife to threaten victims during robberies.

Detective Constable Paul Scott stated that Montague would now face the consequences of his “despicable actions” and emphasized that such crimes would not be tolerated.

He reassured the public that law enforcement would continue to work tirelessly to bring offenders to justice.
