A teenager who cannot be named due to legal requirements has pled guilty to attempted murder at the High Court in Edinburgh of a former friend. Lord Arthurson remanded the 17 year old in custody pending a Criminal justice social work report being prepared. The teenager was only 16 when the attack took place outside an Aldi Supermarket in Edinburgh. The Crown indicated the victim should make a full recovery. The accused defence team stated: “He now bitterly regrets his actions and what he did to someone who had been a childhood friend.”
